Just a heads up on partial roof cleanings. I had a request to clean one half of a algae infest roof (north side). Customer said the other half was fine in his opinion and it wasn't that dirty. I informed him that the price would not be to far off from a complete Soft Wash shingle cleaning because of materials, travel time, set up time and break down time. I also informed him that if we only soft washed one side of the roof, the algae and dark streaks would return much sooner on the asphalt shingles that he wanted cleaned. Especially in humid climates like we have here in Tallahassee!

He decided to go with a complete Soft Wash shingle cleaning which was a smart move. It's a good idea to push for the entire roof, not only for us contractors but for homeowners also. They get a much better deal on price for a total roof cleaning and cleaning lasts longer!

We seldom do partial cleanings anymore. My wife takes the calls and deals with the customers and she almost always sells the full cleaning. Once the customer is educated properly it makes sense to them to do the entire roof for a slightly higher cost.

Partial roof cleanings = no warranty
Full roof cleanings = 2 year Unconditional Warranty (Although so far we have been getting 3+ years out of a cleaning)
