Silicone tape - anyone use it?

I use it on my wfps to make sumpers at the clamps. Helps to reduce S/H if the pole collapses too quickly. It's also good as a stop tape so I don't over extend the sections. There's a ton of other applications for the stuff. Anyone here use it?

Will it hold up to SH? Have you tested it on your equipment?

I've used it on my wfp as a bumper (you can make o rings out of the stuff) and they use it on electrical lines and radiator hoses. It's also used on leaking drain pipes so Im guessing it will stand up to some chems. I haven't used it in situations with high SH concentrations yet so I can't say how long it would hold up however this video says it resists acids. (It's called rescue tape but it's all just silicone tape under different names.
