The S/H kills the water proofing in my work boots. This stuff may be the ticket to water proof them again.

Good idea Mike. As well know those manifolds are the first to go. If it works in the spring I'll spray the ladder rack, diamond plate, bed rails, etc. Then again as Art pointed out the mix takes the insulation off his boots. It wouldn't hurt to try though.

BTW...I just sent them an email. I saw in one of their videos with kids using it in a water park on their clothing. Those water parks use sh all the time, albeit not in the concentrations we use.

I got this off the their Rust-Oleum site

12. Does NeverWet work with all liquids?

NeverWet is formulated to work specifically with water-based liquids. Liquids containing oils, detergents, or solvents will remove the Top Coat and reduce the superhydrophobic properties.

Art I, used them on boots and it darkens them a lot and wears fast. But does work. Not sure if I would use again

Found this for protecting clothing, not the first time coming across such info but it does state that it resists most acids and alkalines.
Parent company also makes a product for equipment

Also was developed for the military uniforms, maybe someone has first hand experience?
