Do any of you guys buy or rent uniforms for your men. I keep it simple, I supply 3 pair of Dickie whites pants and a bag of cheap Walmart T shirts to start. When the men start showing up for work dirty, I buy them more. It goes over good with the homeowner and makes the job go a little better. They say to them selfs, These guys are Pro's

I'm pretty much the same. I buy the white craftsmen pants from Sears. they are tough and only 19 to 22 bucks. They last way longer than jeans and you can bleach them. As far as spray shirts, I'm usually on the prowl for a deal on the breathable workout polyester/spandex long sleeves. Some brands are affected a bit more than others by bleach. I always get heathered gray. It hides stains real well. They are also practically indestructible even though they are very thin.

Yes I provide eight shirts per guy, mostly black polyester sportek shirts and I give an allowance for shirts, so they allowed the same kind. I provide boots, sneaks and sunglasses too. Also, regular baseball hats and winter hats as well. Everything is polyester.

I supply shirts only. They're required to supply their own blue Dickies and boots. It's ok for them to invest in their trade. It's not asking much. I think back when I was a plumber. I invested thousands of dollars over the years for all of my own boots, gloves, other various clothing, 100's of different hand tools, wrenches, sawzalls, right angle drills, cordless drill sets, etc. and that is pretty standard for every company.

Ed, I think about that all the time. I also think about how hard I would work and how fast I would run just to be the best. I imagine others here feel the same way. It's just different now. Young people people don't see or do things like we did (man I'm only 47) I realize that's a big generalization but it's a true one.

I provide 3 shirts up front but as many shirts as needed for them to stay looking professional. I provide 3 pairs of blue dickie pants and I provide their PPE.....glasses and masks mostly. There is a hard hat in each truck (I launch my second truck next week.....:) as well as a harness and plain white ball caps.

I just ordered more shirts and went with 100% polyester in lime green and white....hope they come out looking good.
Boots, shorts and anything else are on them.

I do provide bottled water and crunch bars as well.....I spend about $7 a week on the crunch bars and they stay happy so.......I think I win with it in the end.

We use the blue Dic. .kies and they work great.

Sorry Chris....didn't see your post. Just regular ol' Nature Valley crunch bars. The Cajun bars have too much booze.

We wear polyester shorts. Usually khaki or black. As long as they are 100% polyester you should be ok. SH will chew up organic based threads.
