Eric, I have seen the system on your website and on the Power wash Store. Fabulous system would love to be in a position to buy it. As of now I just want to put an air diaphragm pump, honda driven compressor in my truck. I don't know enough about air systems to diy. Would love to get some info on a basic 1/2 inch system with decent output.

Back to this topic. I purchased and paid for an air diaphragm system from the U.S. in November. I also organised the shipping but unfortunately it hasn't worked out and I have got my money back. It was a nice tidy unit which suited me as I don't have loads of room for an air compressor etc etc. I have seen this pump recommended on another forum and would like opinions on it and the size of an engine driven compressor I would need to drive it. Air systems appeal to me because of the resilience of the pumps and the flexibility they offer simply by changing the nozzle. I know many of you are using booster pumps but I don't want to go that route at the moment.

He is running thru the Proportioner....I've read that you will lose distance that way......

I am guessing since he will be using a proportioner to spray surfaces with to clean them, this is a good test to show you what you can
probably get when spraying chemicals. I don't think it would be a good or honest test not spraying through the proportioner if you are going to be using a proportioner because that might cut the distance short some.

If you are using a proportioner, this is a good test to see how far you can expect your pump to spray but if you are batch mixing, then your distance should be a little further, no idea how much but you can setup your system and do some testing and see how far you get then compare your distance to the distance of using the proportioner and then have a good idea how much the proportioner restricts the spray distance.

I saw the video. I would not do it because of the scraping of the roof, here we have mostly asphalt shingles then a lot of clay or concrete barrel tile roofs, not much for flat tile roofs here so that scraping thing would not work on the tile roofs and scraping the asphalt shingles would be a bad idea, scraping would be removing a lot of the granules from the shingles.

The granules is what helps reflect the radiant heat off of the roof, you don't want to scrape them off of the shingles.

Not much for moss or lichens here down in the South Texas area but I know in other parts of the country they have the moss and lichens issues so I have no idea if that gadget would be good help for them, based on what kind of roofs they have in those areas that have the moss and lichens.
