Nice starter setup, You only use one pump at a time. The other one is aback up or you can use it to rinse.

Don't get all worked up about corrosion. It's part of the deal. Those jrods and tips are disposable IMO.

Nice starter and set up. I wish I knew more about those dual pumps bu the first thing I would do is get rid of the accumulator. I used one once and found that the rubber inside rots and breaks from the SH. Unfortunately, there are no replacements for the rubber diaphragm inside so you have to replace it. Also, you have to make sure the psi is kept up. If you "tune in" the pumps you will be fine w/o the accumulator. There is an allen set screw on the pumps. You can get it set so the pump will turn off and not chatter when you let off the gun. Again, depending on the pump you should get 25 - 30 feet. From what I remember about those is one is for a back up. If you have them both operating that might be why you can't spray far. Just a guess.

The next time you want to clean the nozzles and J rod, soak it in oxalic acid.

That is a strange set up for nozzles on the J rod. We keep two sizes. One with 0030, 1530, 2530, 4030. The second, 0040, 1540, 2540, 4040. We have found the best zero degree shooter tips are brass. If you always set them up the exact same way you will always know what nozzle is next when you change.
